CUPE Education workers and Camp Easter Seals

Regina, SKEarl Booth, Vice President - CUPE Local #5506 and an executive member for Education Workers Steering Committee, presented a cheque for $625 to Sean Davis, 2007 Easter Seals Ambassador for Regina and Karen Moore, Regina Director of the Saskatchewan Abilities Council, today at Saskatchewan Abilities Council.  Easter Seals Ambassadors represent all children who use Easter Seals programs in Saskatchewan.  At their annual conference, the Education Workers Steering Committee organized a raffle, the proceeds of which were directed towards Camp Easter Seals.  “This contribution will help an Easter Seals kid attend Camp Easter Seal next summer,” says Sean Davis.  The Education Workers Steering Committee (EWSC) represents all Saskatchewan K-12 education support workers in the Canadian Union of Public Employees. The Saskatchewan Abilities Council works with people of varying abilities to enhance their independence and participation in the community through vocational, rehabilitation and recreational services. Camp Easter Seals is located at located at Lake Manitou, near Watrous, and is the only fully wheel-chair accessible camp in Saskatchewan.
