OVER 200 SCHOOL BOARD WORKERS FROM ACROSS CANADA TO MEET IN REGINA

[Mar 2, 2009 10:26 AM]

School board workers are committed to the promotion of healthy, respectful school environments despite cuts to funding public education.

Over 200 school board workers from across Canada are gathering in Regina to discuss issues facing public education and school board workers in particular.

“Whether it is cuts to custodial services or diminished resources aimed at handling more aggressive special needs kids, the attack on public education through chronic underfunding and contracting out is felt everyday in classrooms across Canada,“ said CUPE National President Paul Moist.
