Happy 139th Labour Day!

This holiday was created to celebrate the economic and social progress that working people have earned for us all.

The eight-hour work day; pensions; safe working conditions and more were brought to us all through unions.

This weekend we’ll fire up our barbecues, watch some football or take one last trip to the lake.

Join me, too, in finding a short minute to reflect on the working people and trade unionists who have built our communities and fought for the rights we enjoy as workers today.
